Dua (supplication) is a central practice in Islam, and Muslims recite various duas for different occasions to seek Allah’s blessings, protection, and mercy. 1. Safar Ki Dua (Dua for Traveling)
When traveling, it is recommended to recite the Safar Ki Dua to ask Allah for safety and protection during the journey.

اللهم إنا نسالك في سفرنا هذا البر والتقوى، ومن العمل ما ترضى.
Transliteration:
Allahumma inna nas’aluka fi safarina hatha al-birra wa al-taqwa, wa min al-amali ma tarda.
Translation:
“O Allah, we ask You for righteousness and piety during this journey, and deeds that will please You.”
Hindi Translation:
“اللّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ فِي سَفَرِنَا هَذَا الْبِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَمِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تَرْضَى”
“अल्लाहुम्मा इन्ना नास’अलुका फी सफरिना हाज़ा अल-बिर्र व अल-तकवा, व मिन अल-अमलि मा तरदी”
Translation:
“हे अल्लाह, हम तुझसे इस यात्रा में भलाई और धर्म की मांग करते हैं, और वह कार्य जो तुझसे प्रसन्नता प्राप्त करें।”
2. Iftar Ki Dua (Dua for Breaking the Fast)
When breaking the fast during Ramadan, it is a Sunnah to recite the Iftar Ki Dua. It helps to express gratitude to Allah for the strength to complete the day’s fast.
Dua for Iftar:
اللهم إني لك صمت وبك آمنت وعليك توكلت، وعليك فترت
Transliteration:
Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu wa ‘alayka-aftartu.
Translation:
“O Allah, I fasted for You, I believed in You, and I put my trust in You, and with Your help, I break my fast.”
Hindi Translation:
“اللّهُمَّ إِنِّي لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَبِكَ فَطَرْتُ”
“अल्लाहुम्मा इन्नी लक़ सुम्तू व बिका आमन्तू व अलैक तवक्कल्तू व बिका फतरतू”
Translation:
“हे अल्लाह, मैंने तुझसे रोज़ा रखा, मैं तुझमें विश्वास करता हूँ, मैं तुझ पर भरोसा करता हूँ, और तेरी मदद से मैं अपना रोज़ा खोलता हूँ।”
3. Taraweeh Ki Dua (Dua for Taraweeh Prayers)
Taraweeh prayers are offered during the month of Ramadan. After completing Taraweeh, Muslims recite specific duas asking for Allah’s mercy.
Dua After Taraweeh:
اللهم اجعلنا من عتقاء رمضان
Transliteration:
Allahumma ajilna min ‘ataqai Ramadan.
Translation:
“O Allah, make us among those who are freed from the fire of Hell during Ramadan.”
Hindi Translation:
“اللّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ عُتَقَاءِ رَمَضَانَ”
“अल्लाहुम्मा अज’लना मिन अत्ताक़ै रमदान”
Translation:
“हे अल्लाह, हमें रमजान के महीने में नरक से मुक्ति पाने वालों में शामिल कर।”
4. Roza Rakhne Ki Dua (Dua for Starting the Fast)
Before starting the fast (Roza) during Ramadan, Muslims recite a short dua to make the intention of fasting.
Dua for Starting the Fast (Niyyah):
نويت أن أصوم غداً لوجه الله تعالى
Transliteration:
Nawaitu an asuma ghadan li wajhi Allah ta’ala.
Translation:
“I intend to fast tomorrow for the sake of Allah.”

“نَوَيْتُ أَنْ أَصُومَ غَدًا لِوَجْهِ اللّهِ تَعَالَى”

“मैं अल्लाह के लिए कल का रोज़ा रखने का इरादा करता हूँ।”
5. Sehri Ki Dua (Dua for Starting the Pre-Dawn Meal)
The Sehri meal is consumed before dawn in preparation for fasting during Ramadan. Reciting a dua for blessings during Sehri is a recommended practice.

اللهم بارك لنا في سحورنا
Transliteration:
Allahumma barik lana fi suhoorina.
Translation:
“O Allah, bless our pre-dawn meal.”

“اللّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي سَحُورِنَا”
“अल्लाहुम्मा बारिक लना फी सःूरिना”

“हे अल्लाह, हमारे सहर को बरकत दे।”
6. Roza Kholne Ki Dua (Dua for Breaking the Fast)
Breaking the fast is an important moment of gratitude. Muslims recite the Roza Kholne Ki Dua to thank Allah for helping them complete the day of fasting.

اللهم إني لك صمت وبك آمنت وعليك توكلت، وعليك فترت

7. Nazar Ki Dua (Dua for Protection from the Evil Eye)
The evil eye (nazar) is believed to cause harm, and this dua is recited to seek Allah’s protection from jealousy or envy.
Dua for Protection from the Evil Eye:
أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق
Transliteration:
A’udhu bikalimatillahi al-tammati min sharri ma khalaq.
Translation:
“I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.”

“أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ”
“आउज़ु बिकलिमातिल्लाही अल-तम्माती मिन शर्रि मा ख़लक”
Translation:
“मैं अल्लाह के पूर्ण शब्दों के द्वारा उनके सभी सृजन से उत्पन्न होने वाली बुराई से शरण लेता हूँ।”
8. Azan Ke Baad Ki Dua (Dua After the Azan)
After the Azan (call to prayer), Muslims recite specific duas to seek Allah’s mercy and blessings.
Dua After Azan:
اللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة والصلاة القائمة آت محمدًا الوسيلة والفضيلة
Transliteration:
Allahumma rabba hadhihi al-da’wah al-tammah wa al-salāh al-qā’imah, āti Muhammadan al-waseelah wal-fadheelah.
Translation:
“O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and of this established prayer, grant Muhammad the intercession and excellence.”
Hindi Translation:
“اللّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْقَائِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ”
“अल्लाहुम्मा रब्बा हाज़िहि दुआवति अल-तम्मति व अल-सलातिल काइमति आति मुहम्मदन अल-वसीलत वाल-फदीलत”
Translation:
“हे अल्लाह, इस पूरी दुआ और क़ायम की गई नमाज़ के रब, मोहम्मद (सल्ल.) को सिफारिश और सबसे बढ़ी इज़्जत अता फरमा।”
1. Chand Dekhne Ki Dua (Dua for Seeing the Moon)
When the new moon appears, especially during Ramadan or Eid, Muslims recite a special dua to thank Allah for the new month.
Dua for Seeing the Moon:
اللهم أهله علينا بالأمن والإيمان، والسلامة والإسلام، ربي وربك الله
Transliteration:
Allahumma ahillahu ‘alayna bil-amni wal-iman, was-salamati wal-islam, rabbi wa rabbuka Allah.
Translation:
“O Allah, bring this month upon us with peace, faith, safety, and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is Allah.”
Hindi Translation:
“اللّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْأَمْنِ وَالإِيْمَانِ وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالإِسْلَامِ، رَبِّي وَرَبُّكَ اللّهُ”
“अल्लाहुम्मा अहिल्हु अलैना बिल-अम्नी वल-ईमानी वल-सलामती वल-इस्लामी, रब्बी व रब्बुक अल्लाह”
Translation:
“हे अल्लाह, इस महीने को हमारे लिए शांति, ईमान, सुरक्षा, और इस्लाम के साथ भेज। मेरा रब और आपका रब अल्लाह है।”
2. Qurbani Ki Dua (Dua for Sacrificing an Animal)
During Eid al-Adha, Muslims sacrifice an animal as an act of worship to Allah. Before performing the qurbani (sacrifice), this dua is recited.
Dua for Qurbani:
بِسْمِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ أَكْبَرُ
Transliteration:
Bismillahi Allahu Akbar.
Translation:
“In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest.”

“بِسْمِ اللّهِ وَاللّهُ أَكْبَرُ”
“बिस्मिल्लाहि वल्लाहु अकबर”

3. Sone Ki Dua (Dua for Sleeping)
Before going to sleep, Muslims recite a dua to seek protection from Allah and to have a peaceful night.

بِاسْمِكَ اللهم أموتُ وأحيا
Transliteration:
Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya.
Translation:
“O Allah, in Your name I die and live.”
Hindi Translation:
“بِاسْمِكَ اللّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا”
“बिस्मिका अल्लाहुम्मा अमुतू व अह्या”

“अल्लाह के नाम से, मैं मरता हूँ और जीता हूँ।”
4. Ghar Se Nikalne Ki Dua (Dua for Leaving the House)
Before leaving home, Muslims recite this dua for protection and blessings from Allah.

بِسْمِ اللّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّهِ
Transliteration:
Bismillahi tawakkaltu ‘ala Allah, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.

“In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no power and no strength except with Allah.”

“بِسْمِ اللّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّهِ”
“बिस्मिल्लाहि तवक्कल्तु अला अल्लाहि व ला हौला व ला क़ुवा इल्ला बिल्लाह”
Translation:
“अल्लाह के नाम से, मैंने अल्लाह पर भरोसा किया, और अल्लाह के सिवा कोई ताकत और शक्ति नहीं है।”
5. Istikhara Ki Dua (Dua for Seeking Guidance)
Istikhara is the dua recited by Muslims when seeking guidance from Allah about a decision, such as marriage or any significant life choice.
Dua for Istikhara:
اللهم إني استخيرك بعلمك واستقدرك بقدرتك، فسألك من فضلك العظيم
Transliteration:
Allahumma inni astakhīruka bi’ilmika wa astaqdīruka biqudratika, fa’askuka min fadlika al-‘azīm.
Translation:
“O Allah, I seek Your guidance through Your knowledge, and I seek ability through Your power, and I ask You from Your immense favor.”
Hindi Translation:
“اللّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، فَسَأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ”
“अल्लाहुम्मा इन्नी अस्तखीरुका बि’इल्मिका व अस्तक़दीरुका बि’क़ुद्रतिका, फ़स’अलुका मिन फ़ज़लिका अल-‘ज़ीम”
Translation:
“हे अल्लाह, मैं तेरी जानकारी से तुझे मार्गदर्शन चाहता हूँ, और मैं तेरी ताकत से तुझसे मदद चाहता हूँ, और मैं तेरी महान कृपा से तुझसे मांगता हूँ।”
6. Roze Ki Niyat Ki Dua (Dua for Fasting)
Before beginning the fast (Roza) during Ramadan or any other day of fasting, Muslims make the intention (niyyah) and recite this dua.
Dua for Fasting (Roze Ki Niyat):
نويت أن أصوم غداً لوجه الله تعالى
Transliteration:
Nawaitu an asuma ghadan li wajhi Allah ta’ala.

اللهم أهله علينا بالبركة والإيمان، والسلامة والإسلام، ربي وربك الله
Transliteration:
Allahumma ahillahu ‘alayna bil-barakati wal-iman, was-salamati wal-islam, rabbi wa rabbuka Allah.

“O Allah, bring this month upon us with blessings, faith, peace, and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is Allah.”

“हे अल्लाह, इस महीने को हमारे लिए बरकत, ईमान, शांति और इस्लाम के साथ भेज। मेरा रब और आपका रब अल्लाह है।”
